Introducing
SUCEED

Transforming Emergency Care, One Champion at a time.

Transforming emergency care, one champion at a time.

SUCEED: Sustainable Healthcare Systems,
Clinical Education, Evaluation & Development.

What SUCEED Does.

SUCEED empowers frontline teams to:

  • Identify low-value care and select one achievable priority for locally led improvement.

  • Design and deliver a locally governed project with clear aims and practical measures.

  • Improve patient care and value while considering workforce, cost and environmental impact.

  • Build leadership, stakeholder engagement, evaluation and communication skills through practice.

  • Strengthen local capability, teamwork and continuity so improvement can continue beyond one person. complexities of system change in real-world ED settings.

How the Program Works.

10 Sessions, 6 Months, 5 Modules and 1 Priority Project:

Foundation - Onboarding, orientation, expectations and program principles.

Module 1 - Assess & Prioritise - Complete the needs analysis, establish baseline capability, develop the plan and select one priority.

Module 2 - Plan & Mitigate - Set aims and measures; map stakeholders, capacity and risk.

Module 3 - Implement & Adapt - Launch, test, learn and adapt.

Module 4 - Measure & Evaluate - Assess results, value and unintended effects.

Module 5 - Share & Next Steps - Report progress and plan sustainment or scale.

Expected outcomes of SUCEED

1. Stronger Improvement Capability

Clinicians build practical skills in project design, stakeholder engagement, governance, measurement and communication.

2. One Priority Project Advanced

Each participant implements or materially advances one locally chosen improvement in their own emergency department.

3. Proportionate, Credible Measures

Projects establish practical baseline and follow-up measures across patient care, workforce, resources and environmental impact.

4. A Defensible Final Report

Participants produce a concise report or executive summary, with clear evidence, limitations and a recommended next step.

5. Continuity Beyond One Person

Each project finishes with a practical plan for sustainment, handover or scale, supported by a peer and faculty network.
